Job Summary

As Alto’s Finance Manager, Payments you will be a leader in all payment processing, including process improvements, systems, expense reimbursement, and cash management. You will collaborate closely with members of our Accounting team as well as other internal teams. The Payment Manager will position Alto for future growth as they optimize our payments process and cash management operations.



Job Description

  • Oversee the processing of payments, including wires, ACH, checks, p-cards, and travel and expense reimbursements, in a high paced environment

  • Analyze data to identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and performance

  • Design and develop metrics to track and monitor performance with payments processing including accuracy and timeliness

  • Review and assess processes to identify issues and risks, and ensure an internal control environment is in place

  • Develop strategies to improve the payments process and reduce operational costs

  • Collaborate with teams inside and outside of the Finance organization to support payment processing needs, including operational reports

  • Maintain accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assist in reconciling accounts

  • Manage corporate cash accounts and all banking relationships to ensure the company has the most cost effective structure and programs

  • Create investment policy and monitor cash, money market and other short-term investments to ensure compliance

A Bit About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years leading a payments, accounts payable, and/or cash management function in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners at all levels within an organization

  • Ability to develop a data-driven long-term payment optimization strategy

  • Ability to document and implement processes that scale with the business, including automation initiatives

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure

  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team

  • Advanced proficiency in the use of Google Suite products as well as Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Sage Intacct, Coupa, JP Morgan/Chase banking platform, various expense management software a plus

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business preferred

  • Reading English, comprehending, and following simple oral and written instructions.

  • Environmental Conditions: occasional exposure to low temperatures or high temperatures, outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind, and noisy environments.

  • Physical Activities:

    • Occasionally ascending or descending stairs, ramps and the like.

    • Moving about to accomplish tasks and/or moving from one worksite to another.

    • Adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.

    • Operating motor vehicles.

    • Occasional sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/driving/flying

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $96,000 - 120,000

Commission Eligible: No

Equity Eligible: Yes

Travel: Yes - Required up to 5% of the time

Colorado, Florida, Nevada, Illinois, New York, Kansas, Texas, Maryland, Washington (WA), Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin.
