We seek a highly skilled and motivated UAV Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the production of high-quality UAVs that meet regulatory standards and customer expectations. This role requires expertise in aeronautical engineering, mechanical engineering, and quality principles to ensure the efficient production of high-quality UAVs.
Tasks
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and control systems.
- Oversee the inspection and testing of UAV components and finished products.
- Implement rigorous testing protocols to assess the correct manufacturing according to working instructions and specifications of UAVs.
- Investigate quality issues and defects in UAV products. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality. Analyze quality metrics to track performance and identify trends.
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality assurance activities and inspection results.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
- Work closely with design, engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure quality is integrated into every stage of product manufacturing.
- Conduct regular audits of UAV products and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry certifications related to UAV manufacturing.
Requirements
- Hengelo area (NL) will be your work location.
- Domestic and International travel are required.
- Security clearance may be required depending on the nature of the projects.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, quality engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (4-8 years) in UAV quality manufacturing or its components, with a strong understanding of production, maintenance, and ERP systems.
- Proficiency in quality management tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of health & safety standards, environment regulations, regulatory compliance, and ethical considerations associated with aerial military vehicles.
- English will be your working language. Other languages will be highly evaluated
