.The Destinus R&D engineering team is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for aerospace to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong applied engineering skills and an aptitude for leading small engineering teams and projects. In this role, you will support the propulsion and vehicle teams as the focal point for leading mechanical design projects (Airframe, Propulsion, Landing gear, flight controls) through the entire design life cycle

• Lead design projects for aerospace components and systems from the conceptual phase through manufacturing to integration and testin
g
• Generate 3D CAD models, drawings, schematics, bills of material, and other related documentation required for manufacturing, integration and testin
g
• Deliver technical documentation including any engineering calculations, analysis and assumptions required to substantiate your design decisions and solution

• Prepare and participate in design review
s
• Manage suppliers and manufacturers by addressing any technical questions and resolving any issues which may arise during the manufacturing proces

• Select standard parts, fasteners, equipment and consumables following best practices and industry standard
