In the role of Financial Accountant, you are part of the Finance & Administration team of Destinus. Divided over the different locations, this team consists of the (Group) CFO, Finance Manager, Financial Accountants and a Finance & Office Assistant. In the position of Financial Accountant, you are responsible for preparing the financial statements for our company, and executing and optimizing various financial processes of our European branches.

• Processing incoming and outgoing invoices and the associated bank transactions
• Creating reports for accounts payable and accounts receivable. You are also the first point of contact for customers and suppliers
• Internally, you are the first point of contact for project management and purchasing
• Processing intercompany transactions and the monthly reconciliation of these transactions
• Processing VAT returns on time
• Performing financial checks on ongoing projects
• Preparing and checking management reports (weekly and monthly)
• Performing monthly closing activities on time so that MT reports and reports for internal and external stakeholders can be drawn up
• Performing activities for financial audits
• Other tasks that recur regularly to guarantee correct and timely reporting

• You have a Bachelor level based on education or experience in the direction of Accounting, Finance or Economics
• You have at least 3-5 years of work experience in a similar role
• You speak and write fluent English. English is the working language in our company
• Full-time availability is desired
