Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) Production Team Lead to join our dynamic team. As a crucial member of our UAV manufacturing team, you will be responsible for managing a team of production technicians, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and optimizing production efficiency by supervising the daily activity of a production area. Your leadership, expertise and innovative ideas will contribute to the creation of high performant manufacturing teams meeting production targets, maintaining workflow consistency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Tasks

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of production technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Coordinate team schedules, assignments, and workload distribution to meet production targets.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability within the team.


Production Management:

  • Oversee the assembly, integration, and testing of UAVs and related components according to engineering specifications and production schedules.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and cost savings in production operations.
  • Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment.


Resource Management:

  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products to support production requirements.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components for production.
  • Optimize resource utilization, including equipment, tools, and personnel, to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.


Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain accurate production records, including work orders, production reports, and inventory logs.
  • Generate production performance metrics, analyse data trends and prepare reports for management review.
  • Provide regular updates on production progress, challenges, and achievements to relevant stakeholders.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.
  • Proven experience (2-5 years) in manufacturing operations, preferably in aerospace or unmanned systems industry and/or aircraft maintenace, repair and overhaul with understanding of quality control and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, quality management systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Knowledge of health & safety standards, environment regulations, regulatory compliance, and ethical considerations associated with aerial military vehicles.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising and motivating production teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work creatively in a fast-paced and complex manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external teams.
  • Spanish will be your working language. English will be highly valuated.

  • Madrid area will be your work location.
  • Security clearance may be required depending on the nature of the projects.
