Description:

  • UPMC Central PA (formerly Pinnacle Health Systems) is a member of the UPMC Health System family and is a growing, multisite healthcare provider in the Central Pennsylvania/Harrisburg region. UPMC Central PA is seeking a BC/BE radiation oncologist to join its well-integrated and expanding program which incorporates sites in Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, Carlisle and York.  
  • We are seeking a patient-centric physician with excellent clinical skills interested in delivering high quality care and the opportunity to participate in numerous clinical trials which are available throughout the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center network.  

ABOUT THE POSITION:

  • Join a successful radiation oncology practice as an eighth physician
  • Weekly chart rounds with collaborative prospective peer review
  •  Excellent collaboration with surgical oncology, medical oncology, and palliative medicine
  •  Numerous multi-disciplinary tumor boards
  • State-of-the-art facilities which house multi-disciplinary cancer services 
  •  SBRT, SRS, HDR (with MRI fusion for treatment planning), LDR, and radio-pharmaceutical programs
  •  Well-equipped sites with Varian platforms (Halcyon, TrueBeam, Edge and Trilogy) supporting SBRT and SRS programs (HyperArc), 4D CT simulation, breath-hold, and PET-CT simulation
  •  Commission on Cancer (CoC) accredited
  •  ACRO accredited
  • Shared call 1:8

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/board-eligible
  • Eligible for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients
  • Team oriented with ability to provide personalized patient care and demonstrate excellent clinical outcomes
  • Will consider 2021-2022 radiation oncology residency and fellowship graduates for candidacy
  • Demonstrated practice building/leadership experience a plus
