The Endoscopy Tech performs various direct patient care activities in the endoscopy unit under the supervision of the Physician and Registered Nurse
He/she will prepare procedure room for endoscopy procedures
He/she will assist the Physician and RN with Pre, Intra and post endoscopic patient care to provide physical and environmental support
He/she will also be responsible for cleaning and disinfect endoscopes and other equipment according to policy and procedures
The Tech must have the ability to and order supplies from central and outside vendors
Transport patients, prepare stretchers, take vital signs if indicated
Tranposrt specimens to appropriate departments

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required
CER preferred
CRCST certiification required
Ability to assists in transporting patients. Able to lift and push beds, stretchers
Knowledge of state and JCAHO standards required
30 lb weight lift requirement
