Job Description:

  • Position patients and equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images
  • Prepare and educate patients about the imaging procedure
  • Maintain patients’ records during and after procedures
  • Monitor patients and ensure their safety during imaging procedures
  • Calibrate the equipment to provide clear, usable images
  • Log and organize image results, develop film and assist with the interpretation of the radiograph results
  • Consult with Radiologists to determine if other images need to be taken
  • Ensure the proper sterilization and storage of the equipment
  • Maintain radiographic equipment, and report any equipment failures

CT Technologist Responsibilities:

  • The technologist will be expected to perform CT and Radiology exams in an inpatient setting. 
  • Schedule - Monday-Friday 7:30a-4:00p
  • 1 to 2 weekdays & rotating weekend call every 3rd weekend)
  • On Call REQUIRED

Requirements:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS- American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • CT Technologist with ARRT-CT certification, 
  • Texas Medical Board - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist

Education

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required
