Position Details:

Location: Rome, NY

• A facility is in search of an MS/Telemetry nurse.
• Mandatory qualifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a New York State (NYS) nursing license.
• Strong preference for candidates with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• The requirement includes a minimum of 2 years of current experience.
• Prior travel experience is preferred.
• Expectation involves floating to the Medical-Surgical (MS) unit.
• Commitment to working every other weekend is necessary.
• Skills in IV administration, proficiency with cardiac drips, EKG strip interpretation, and various wound care methods are essential.
• Mandatory NIH Stroke Certification, along with 8 hours of CEUs, is required prior to starting.

Unit Details:

• The facility accommodates a total of 27 beds.
• The nurse-patient ratio is capped at 7:1, ensuring optimal care.
• The system in use includes both McKesson and Paragon.
• Essential qualifications encompass proficient IV skills, confident handling of cardiac drips, EKG strip interpretation, and comprehensive wound care proficiency.
• Mandatory prerequisites involve NIH Stroke Certification, coupled with an additional 8 hours of CEUs.
