We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Contract Registered Nurse (RN) to join our CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) department as a backfill position.
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care within our dynamic surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform pre-operative assessments, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure patient readiness for surgery.
Assist in surgical procedures by providing sterile instruments, and supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Monitor patients' vital signs and condition during surgery, promptly addressing any changes or concerns.
Administer medications and anesthesia under the guidance of an anesthesiologist.
Provide post-operative care, including monitoring recovery, managing pain, and addressing complications.
Document patient care activities accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and adherence to protocols.
Maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments in the field of CVOR nursing.
Uphold ethical standards and follow institutional policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in TEXAS.
Prior experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing is preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Proficiency in maintaining sterile techniques and adhering to infection control practices.
Ability to assess patient conditions, prioritize tasks, and make critical decisions.
Flexibility to work the specified timing and fulfill the demands of the backfill role.
