Job Description:

Department: MEDSURG 6S (627)

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

• We are looking for a devoted and skilled Contract Registered Nurse (RN) to work as a backfill in our Medical Surgical Unit.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Unit.
• Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and implement care plans.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor and document patient progress and vital signs.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and self-care.
• Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Respond effectively to emergent situations and changes in patient status.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards of care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in TEXAS.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification a plus.
• Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
