Provide specialized healthcare to newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or other neonatal care settings. This includes assessing and monitoring infants' health, administering treatments, and performing procedures as needed
Work closely with neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement treatment plans for neonatal patients
Offer emotional support and education to parents and families, helping them understand their baby's condition and progress
Interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory tests, to assess an infant's health
Administer medications, manage intravenous lines, and ensure the proper dosage and effectiveness of medications
Maintain detailed patient records, including medical histories, progress notes, and treatment plans
Depending on the setting, NNPs may also engage in research activities to improve neonatal care practices
Adhere to all state and federal regulations and maintain a high standard of care and ethical practice

Requirements:

Actively licensed as an NNP in the state of NY
Active DEA
Minimum of a year's experience in high stress situations, especially in Neonatal Intensive Care Units
