Job Description:

• Requires lifting of up to 100 pounds with assistance and carrying of up to 50 pounds
• 3. The work environment may involve exposure to assaultive and combative patients
• Per Diem: Per Diem Nurses are not Regular Positions within the County, and there should be no expectation of continued employment or guaranteed hours. Working as a Per Diem Nurse does not preclude you from applying and competing for Regular nursing positions within the County

Minimum Requirements

Experience: One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing
• Must possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Critical Care RNs (Journey Level) must also possess and maintain the following unit specific certifications/courses required to work in the NICU at time of application:

• Neonatal Intensive Care Course
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) Certification

Desired Qualifications

Candidates possessing a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit are desired
