Job Description:

• Administering blood transfusions and infusions
• Monitoring patients’ vital signs
• Diagnosing the causes of sudden changes in patient condition and giving urgent treatments when required
• Carrying out treatment plans by administering medication
• Assessing diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms (EKGs) and radiographs (X-rays) and performing them in some circumstances
• Delivering emergency medical care, such as cardiac life support, when patients are in crisis
• Updating patient's health information to ensure accurate record keeping
• Working with Physicians and other members of the care team to revise treatment plans when needed

Requirements:

• Float to ICU (some can even float M/S as well)
• 2 years of minimum experience in Acute Care setting
• Must be an RN able to practice in the State of Illinois
• Valid state certification as a registered nurse
• Current ACLS and Basic Life Support certifications
• Interpersonal and communication skills
