Job Description:

  • Join our team as a Telemetry Nurse in the Orthopedic department located in Atlantis, Florida.
  • As a Telemetry Nurse in the Orthopedic Department, you will play a vital role in monitoring and providing specialized care for orthopedic patients.
  • This position requires a dedicated individual with strong telemetry skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data for orthopedic patients.
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care, focusing on the well-being and comfort of orthopedic patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical conditions and responses to treatments.
  • Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting observations, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, families, and colleagues regarding care plans and progress.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Telemetry certification or demonstrated proficiency in telemetry monitoring.
  • Experience in a telemetry setting, with a preference for orthopedic or related specialties.
