Job Description:

  • As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ER) at our Tamarac, FL location, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care during the night shift.
  • The Emergency Room RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within the fast-paced and dynamic environment of the emergency department.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate and efficient care to patients presenting in the emergency room, including triage, assessment, and implementation of necessary interventions.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, demonstrating sound clinical judgment and effective decision-making abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, other nurses, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Accurately and promptly document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in electronic health records.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members to ensure a clear understanding of care plans and expectations.
  • Adhere to established protocols, procedures, and standards of care in the emergency department.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, medications, and post-discharge care.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program and possession of a current RN license in the state of Florida.
  • Prior experience in an emergency room setting is preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
