  • Assess, plan, evaluate, and implement patient care according to accepted standards of practice.
  • Document delivery of patient care in the medical record.
  • Administer medications and treatments; observe patient responses.
  • Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and hospital staff.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding health practices and treatment modalities.
  • Provide direction and instruction to staff, interpreting patient needs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of healthcare developments and therapeutic measures.
  • Attend department in-services and staff development programs.
  • Provide orientation and training to new staff, residents, medical and nursing students.
  • Initiate emergency nursing measures such as Code Blue and Code Red.
  • Provide vacation and temporary relief as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Experience in Cardiac/Angio/Neuro/Vascular & Trauma cases required.
  • Experience working with all ages.
  • One (1) year of experience as a licensed registered nurse.
  • California state Registered Nurse License required.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required.
