Full time, permanent position that may be temporary initially to permanent, if desired. Earn over $250-300k per year for an experienced Pediatrician looking for a leadership opportunity with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities for a rural hospital.

Position Overview and Requirements:
· Upstate New York Pediatric Director Position - Located in very low COVID geographic location.
· Position requires an experienced physician that would be ready to start immediately.
· Director for entire pediatric department which includes inpatient newborn and pediatrics, outpatient clinic caseload and school based location.
· Hospital delivers around 35O births a year. Practice is established and growing.
Cases in Pediatrics reviewed monthly on various topics to include Sinusitis, Chronic Cough, Coronavirus Pandemic updates and management in the pediatric population. Urticarial and Anaphylaxis treatment, Obesity in Preschoolers, Cyclic vomiting syndrome, Migraine Management, Hypertension, Periorbital Cellulitis, Trisomy 18
· Supervising providers and giving guidance and instruction to include PREP self-assessment and review.
*In the Newborn Nursery updated newborn protocols and order sets for newborns and NRP management for nurses and providers.
*Hold monthly meetings to ensure staff members are adequately trained and up to date on clinical guidelines in our community to include Coronavirus Updates, Congenital Heart Disease, Lyme Disease prophylaxis, Urinary Tract Infections, Microscopic and Gross Hematuria, Treatment of Burns
· Attend quarterly OB/PED meetings to review polices and discuss high risk OB/PED medical cases.
· Attend Med Executive Meetings monthly for Credentials and Risk Management of providers.
· Meet with our Admin Team to discuss policies, quality issues, patient satisfaction scores, joint commission updates, hiring actions and rural health community updates NY State Rankings and Summary for Hospital Newborn screening report cards reviewed monthly and quality improvement measures done to help with unsuitable specimens
· Medical Director School District, updating school policies, reviewing up to date AAP polices with staff and nursing, attending school district meetings and NY State conference.
· Update Superintendent, nurses and admin team School District on COVID 19 and the initial medical considerations for the school district.
· Discuss medical cases for Legal Malpractice suits from MLMIC (Medical Liability Mutual Insurance Company) monthly.
