Responsibilities:
- Provide competent health care to patients and families, ensuring adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of care.
- Deliver health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
- Act as a preceptor and support the development of other staff and healthcare students.
- Provide leadership for initiatives aimed at improving the quality of care or clinical outcomes.
- Assist in the development of departmental standing orders under the guidance of the Nursing Supervisor/coordinator.
- Manage triage responsibilities for high-risk and low-risk pregnant women, well women, and acute conditions using obstetrical and gynecological protocols.
- Assist with moderately complex procedures and administer chemotherapeutic agents and blood products.
- Perform diagnostic testing to assess fetal well-being in collaboration with physicians and advanced practice providers.
- Act as a resource for CMA and LPN staff, providing comprehensive prenatal and breastfeeding education
- Demonstrate excellence in customer service, team building, and problem-solving abilities
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as OB RN
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
- IL RN State license
