We're looking for a mission-driven physician to dramatically improve the health of men with obesity. This is an opportunity to get involved at an early stage with a fast-growing startup. You'll be the first doctor in California joining the team and will play a key role in the clinical operations. Initially, the role will involve defining the clinical protocol and providing telemedicine consultations.
In future, we'd love you to take a medical leadership role: being a clinic advisor and building out our clinical team.
This is a great fit if you want the opportunity to partner with an early-stage, fast-growing startup. This is not a great fit if you're looking to take things easy.
Key responsibilities
-- Provide telemedicine consultations to Californian men struggling with obesity and stress eating. Minimum 5 hours per week.
-- Build out your own high-quality clinical protocol.
-- Provide input on the psychological coaching (CBT) program.
-- Provide feedback to the engineering team on how to improve the platform.
Potential future responsibilities
-- Build out the clinical team for a fast-growing startup: hiring, onboarding, training, and management of more physicians.
-- Improve patient experience by iterating on the clinical protocol.
-- Provide strategic guidance on expansion into more states and more conditions.
Requirements
-- Active, unrestricted license in California.
-- Board-certified in obesity medicine or endocrinology.
-- Ideal, not required: Have your own active private practice or Professional Corporation.
-- Ideal, not required: Have or can quickly set up your own malpractice insurance coverage.
-- This is a fully remote job with flexible working hours.
