About the role
As a Field Marketing Manager at Bretton AI, you'll own our pipeline generation strategy and execute high-impact marketing programs in our key markets. This is a foundational role where you'll build our field marketing function from the ground up, creating bespoke, high-touch experiences for our most important accounts—banks and fintechs fighting financial crime at massive scale.
You'll work directly with our sales, SDR, and executive teams to design and execute exclusive events, executive dinners, roundtables, and account-based marketing campaigns that generate new business and accelerate opportunities. Your programs will directly influence pipeline goals and establish Bretton AI as the trusted partner in our customers' AI journey.
This is a core marketing role reporting to the VP of Marketing. You're an exceptional field marketer who understands that enterprise software buyers need personalized, memorable experiences. You'll lead event strategy, build our ABM program, and own market presence as we scale. You're not just running events—you're engineering a pipeline generation engine based on what our most strategic customers actually need.
Please Note: We work in-person Monday through Friday in our SF office.
What you'll do
Month 1:
Master our platform, product positioning, and competitive landscape
Build relationships with sales, SDR, and executive teams to understand account priorities
Conduct a full audit of upcoming field marketing activities and existing programs
Shadow customer meetings and immerse yourself in financial crime compliance
Month 2:
Present your comprehensive field marketing plan, including event calendar, ABM strategy, and budget
Execute your first set of quick wins: intimate dinners and small events in key markets
Partner with sales on ABM campaigns for Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts
Begin tracking and reporting on pipeline impact of your programs
Ongoing:
Own and execute a portfolio of high-touch events, including executive dinners, private roundtables, and C-level briefings
Design and manage multi-touch ABM campaigns for named accounts, leveraging events, direct mail, and personalized content
Manage Bretton's presence at key industry conferences, securing speaking opportunities and maximizing ROI
Be boots-on-the-ground in key markets (KC, NYC, Charlotte, Chicago), building local partnerships and executing regional marketing plans
Track, analyze, and report on pipeline generation and acceleration metrics
Collaborate with product marketing on content strategy informed by customer interactions
What we're looking for
5+ years in B2B field marketing or similar role, with proven track record of generating pipeline and executing successful events
Experience in enterprise software or financial services—you understand how to market to large, conservative organizations with long sales cycles
Master of event marketing with passion for creating unique, memorable experiences and meticulous attention to detail
Deep experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and designing personalized, multi-channel campaigns that get results
Strong sense of ownership and bias for action—comfortable with ambiguity and rolling up your sleeves
Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time to key markets and events
Bonus points:
Experience marketing to financial services buyers in compliance and risk
Familiarity with marketing automation and ABM platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, 6sense, Demandbase)
Experience working in high-growth, venture-backed startup environment
Background in fintech or highly regulated industries
About you
You're a field marketing professional who thrives at the intersection of creativity and data-driven execution. You see events and campaigns as opportunities to build lasting relationships and generate real business impact.
You understand that effective field marketing means creating experiences that resonate with sophisticated buyers while maintaining focus on pipeline metrics and ROI. You're comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and you want your marketing contributions to have direct, measurable impact on how financial institutions adopt AI to fight crime.
