We’re looking for high-agency people to help us achieve our vision - to make globalization work for everyone. We're a fully remote company with staff in the US, UK, Canada, Portugal, Germany, India, Ghana, Tanzania, Nigeria, and Rwanda.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Engineering to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, a passion for fintech innovation, and proven leadership skills. The Head of Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of technology solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, developers, and technical leads.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
    • Recruit, retain, and develop engineering talent to support the company's growth.
  2. Technology Strategy:
    • Collaborate with the CTO and other executive team members to define and execute the company's technology strategy.
    • Ensure the engineering team's goals are aligned with the company's business objectives.
    • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
  3. Product Development:
    • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of products and platforms required to meet the business objectives.
    • Ensure all technology solutions are scalable, secure, and reliable.
    • Implement best practices for software development, testing, and quality assurance.
  4. Project Management:
    • Manage the engineering team's project portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Implement effective project management methodologies and tools.
    • Monitor and report on project progress and performance to stakeholders.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with product management, design, and every other department to ensure successful product delivery.
    • Act as a link between the engineering team and other parts of the organization.
    • Communicate technical concepts and project updates to non-technical stakeholders.
  6. Security and Compliance:
    • Ensure all technology practices comply with regulatory and compliance requirements specific to the fintech industry.
    • Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect company and customer data.
    • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.


  • Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role (having experience in fintech is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of financial technologies, including blockchain, cryptocurrency, digital payments, and banking solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing engineering teams and projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of software development, system architecture, and IT infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements in the financial sector.
