The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Marketing Associate to join our rapidly growing team. As a Marketing Associate, you will work closely with the Head of Global Marketing to provide administrative and strategic support and help drive marketing initiatives across various channels and regions.
You will be crucial in supporting the Head of Global Marketing by managing their schedule, arranging meetings, handling correspondence, coordinating events, managing travel logistics, and ensuring the smooth execution of marketing activities.
This entry-level role serves as the foundation for a career in marketing, providing individuals with exposure to various facets of marketing, such as digital marketing, market research, advertising, and public relations. It is perfect for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow their career in a fast-paced environment. This role is open as a full-time position in Lagos, NG.
What you’ll do at Grey includes, but is not limited to:
- Manage the calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements for the Head of Global Marketing.
- Assist in planning and executing marketing events, including booking venues, coordinating logistics, and managing on-site support.
- Attend events after business hours and on weekends.
- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend monitoring to support strategic decision-making.
- Help manage content calendars, draft marketing materials, and coordinate with creative teams to ensure timely asset delivery.
- Organise department meetings, send email notifications, distribute agendas, and take meeting minutes.
- Conducted market research and competitor analysis, analyzed consumer feedback, ratings, and questionnaires, and monitored industry trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure alignment on marketing initiatives.
- Occasionally travel to support events, marketing activities, and other relevant tasks as needed.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, including agencies, freelancers, and other partners.
- Maintain project timelines, organize marketing assets, and ensure that all deliverables are met on time.
- Plan and coordinate marketing calls and distribute accurate messages.
- Perform daily administrative tasks to ensure smooth department operations.
- Update and maintain the team’s documentation, databases, media assets, reports, etc.
- Draft marketing materials such as brochures, press releases, and content for various channels.
- Update databases, spreadsheets, and inventories with relevant information.
- Utilize marketing analytics tools to gather and interpret essential data from various sources.
You’ll be a great fit if you meet these criteria:
- 1-2 years of experience in a marketing or administrative role, preferably within fintech, tech, or a startup environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Project management skills and attention to detail
- Experience in event planning, travel management, and willingness to travel occasionally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Highly organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency
- Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills and a great attitude
- Excellent at multi-tasking, prioritizing, and managing time effectively
- A problem solver, a fast learner, and able to work in a remote environment with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and a knack for problem-solving.
- Proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Suite, Notion, and Microsoft Office.
