As the company’s first fulltime mobile Unity engineering hire, you’ll take on a wide scope of responsibilities as we launch and grow Gym Class for iOS/Android. You’ll shape our mobile roadmap, innovate on core gameplay mechanics and controls, and take a pivotal role in building our mobile squad. You’ll collaborate with our co-founders, engineers, artists, and designers across the whole company.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Develop Core Gameplay: Develop net new mobile-native gameplay experiences, as well as features that overlap with our VR experience.
• Drive Mobile Roadmap: Define and drive mobile roadmap to get us moving fast for our growing mobile community. Collaborate with XFN and founding teams.
• Own Best Practices: Establish company’s mobile best-practices for Unity development, aligning with VR builds in partnership with that squad, and shipping to Google Play and Apple Stores.
• Manage Ongoing Content Drops: Design and improve an engine for continuous content updates on conjunction with the VR product.
• Integrate Branded IP: Work with the team to enhance the integration of virtual branded products within the game.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in Unity & Mobile Game Development: Experience in creating and shipping multiplayer games in Unity. Includes shipping new games 0 to 1, from start to Store approvals (Required)
• Knowledge of C#: Demonstrated proficiency in C# programming.
• Gameplay Engineering Skills: Understanding of core gameplay mechanics.
• Multiplayer Game Development: Familiarity with real-time multiplayer game development.
• Optimization Skills: Good at game optimization to yield the highest performance.
• Team Collaboration & Problem-Solving Abilities: Capability to communicate effectively across various disciplines and creatively address challenges.

Salary ranges may be inclusive of several career levels and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
