JOB PURPOSE:
At H3X, we are building the most advanced electric motors in the world for sustainable aviation, marine, industrial, and defense applications. At 12 kW/kg continuous, the HPDM family of integrated motor drives is a step change in electric propulsion technology and removes one of the main barriers blocking widespread proliferation of electric and hybrid aircraft. Our motors range in size from 30 kW to 30 MW and are 3X lighter than those of our competitors.
H3X is looking to hire an experienced IT Administrator who will be responsible for provisioning, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining infrastructure. They will be responsible for both hardware and software maintenance, troubleshooting system-related issues, and replacing legacy systems in an ever-changing environment. This role will be a key part of the team and will have a direct impact on the trajectory of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain all of H3X’s IT systems
  • Hardware:
    • Install, configure and manage on-premises server systems including server setup, deployment, and maintenance
    • Maintain, track, and manage all of H3X’s IT hardware assets (computers, laptops, tablets, and cellular devices)
    • Procure and assemble server/simulation IT equipment
  • Software:
    • Manage Active Directory, including Group Policy management, user and group management, and domain administration.
    • Monitor and optimize server performance, including disk space, CPU usage, and memory utilization.
    • Manage and distribute all of H3X’s software license assets
    • Develop and manage H3X’s intranet system (SharePoint)
  • Cybersecurity:
    • Implement security best practices, including patch management, access control, and backup and recovery solutions.
    • Manage external cybersecurity team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to server performance, hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to server infrastructure, including system specifications, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and best practices related to server administration

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in an IT Administrator Role with a proven track record in managing IT infrastructure and services.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Three (3) years of professional Information Technology experience installing, maintaining, and/or modifying application software, operating system and/or network operating system software and associated hardware.
  • Strong understanding NIST 800-171, DFARS 7012, and CMMC Cybersecurity

PAY: $80,000-120,000 USD/year
