As the Analytics Engineer at Inventa, you will play a critical role in shaping Inventa's data-driven decision-making. We are looking for a candidate who is motivated to model data to represent the business and can make sense of complex data and business rules. Your day-by-day will be:

You will work with the business teams, per domains, to understand and map their needs, translate them into technical activities, and plan and lead the implementations. You will have autonomy in your domain whereas you will be a member of the Analytics Engineering cross team. This means your decisions should be compliant with the data platform directions.
Determine data quality standards for the data you will work with. Lead the implementation of these standards in the pipeline.
Serve data in our Snowflake lakehouse through the analytical pipeline written with dbt.
Serve curated data according to the expected data maturity levels - clean, enriched, or modeled.
Own the analytical pipeline, propose and lead improvements in the main graph to improve the pipeline efficiency.
Own the reverse ETL process to serve high-quality data back to the company systems
Own documentation to serve knowledge of the analytical pipeline to the company
Work closely with the data platform engineering team, making sure we have the right platform to attend to the analytics needs (in the short and long term).

What we're looking for:

Strong experience in Analytics Engineering (or in Data Engineering with a focus on data modeling and ELT), working with e-commerce is a bonus.
Expected to have an educational background in corresponding domains, e.g. computer science, software engineering, IT, etc.
Solid SQL skills.
Good proficiency in dbt with the ability to produce clean and comprehensible code.
Solid knowledge of multidimensional modeling techniques, e.g. Star Schema, Snowflake schema, etc.
Experience with orchestration of analytical pipelines.
Knowledge of database architectures, e.g. Data warehouse, Data lake, Lakehouse.
Proficiency in a programming language, with a preference for Python.
Desirable good experience with software development best practices such as writing clean code, producing good documentation, being concerned with performance and scalability in the code you write, knowing code tests (unit, integration), and so on.
Good communication skills in Portuguese and English; Spanish proficiency is a bonus.
Have good interpersonal skills to communicate with peers, adaptability, ownership, critical thinking, empathy, ownership, and problem-solving.
