We are in need of an experienced leader to run global payroll for Jeeves. The Global Payroll Manager will oversee the global payroll operations – vendors, systems, payroll cycles and processes, as well as integration with HCM, Finance and Accounting, and other cross functional teams. You will be responsible to drive timely and accurate and compliant payrolls, improving end to end processes, drive quality client service, and providing analysis and reporting where needed or requested. You will also be expected to drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of the global payroll operations. This position requires a highly motivated, hands-on professional with strong drive and skillset.

Location: This role is based out of Mexico City, Mexico, and is a full-time hybrid position with the ability to come into our office in Roma Norte on a flexible schedule.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Process semi-monthly and monthly payroll for 150+ employees across Mexico, Colombia, USA, Canada and UK
  • Manage our global payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Ensure all earnings are appropriately paid to employees and address employees queries in a timely manner
  • Administer global payroll and move payroll in-house as needed following the labor local regulations
  • Administer quarterly and annual bonus payouts for employees globally
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of payroll data and compliance with internal controls
  • Generate ad hoc reporting, analysis, and reconciliation of people data for HCM, Finance and Accounting
  • Research vendor requirements and implement new integrations as needed
  • Partner with the HRBP team on any People-Payroll related item (Onboarding, Offboardings, incidents management, etc)
  • Partner with the Accounting team to maintain tax and regulatory compliance and ensure the accuracy of tax and benefit deductions withheld across multi-state tax jurisdictions



Requirements:


  • 10 years of experience in Payroll (preferably on an Startup, SaaS, Fintech ecosystem)
  • 4+ years of experience managing a payroll team
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, Portuguese is a plus
  • Global payroll experience, including US and LATAM (Mexico as a must)
  • Experience onboarding new payroll solutions globally
  • Excellent understanding of payroll accounting and taxes
  • Experience working at a startup and ability to be productive and successful in a fast-paced work environment
  • Hands on payroll processing experience using and possess the ability to quickly learn new tools and vendors, managing Remote and Justworks vendors experience, a plus
  • Technical ability to work with multiple sources of data, drive data imports and process automation
  • Agile and able to pivot quickly with the the changing environment
  • Well-developed customer service skills and a passion for excellent client service
