We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting and overseeing various financial processes such as financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities. This role requires strong analytical skills and an understanding of financial principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Semi Qualified Chartered accountant with post-articleship experience of 2-3 years. Articleship exposure in the domain of Internal/Statutory audit will be ideal.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting and overseeing various financial processes such as financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities. This role requires strong analytical skills and an understanding of financial principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Reporting support and Reviews:
- Support and perform preliminary review for the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and update accurate financial records in Zoho books, including journal entries and reconciliations as well as maintenance of prepaid and provision workings for Private limited companies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports for Private limited companies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in managing accounts receivable and payable processes and Fixed Asset register for Private limited companies.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Setting up new and monitoring existing financial controls, ensuring that the reports generated are in line with business activity and performing analytical review procedure.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation for external auditors for Private limited companies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Support internal audit processes, suggest and implement recommendations for improvement.
- Keeping abreast with recent statutory changes primarily surrounding taxation and corporate laws. Actively research about applicable legal provisions and compliance requirement to suggest best practices.
- Execute timely payments to vendors and service providers
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and financial regulations
- Liaise with vendors, consultants, bankers and regulatory bodies
- Work closely with other departments to gather financial information and support business initiatives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic goals.
- Assist in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.
