The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer Lead with expertise in Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and optimizing user interfaces, enhancing the front-end experience, and implementing SEO strategies to improve the online visibility of our products and services. Location Expectations:

Hybrid. We’re growing our team in LA and the Bay Area, and plan to have offices in both locations. We expect team members to come into their respective office approximately 2x/week.

What You’ll Own:

  • Front-End Development:

    • Develop efficient, maintainable, and scalable front-end code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).

    • Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.

    • Optimize front-end code for performance and responsiveness.

  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

    • Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify SEO opportunities.

    • Implement on-page and off-page SEO techniques to improve organic search rankings.

    • Monitor and analyze website traffic, performance, and SEO metrics to make data-driven decisions.

    • Stay updated on SEO best practices and algorithm changes to maintain high visibility in search engine results pages (SERPs).

  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and back-end developers, to ensure seamless integration of UI, FE, and SEO components.

    • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and consistency.

  • Problem Solving:

    • Troubleshoot and resolve UI/FE issues and performance bottlenecks.

    • Identify and address SEO-related challenges and opportunities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Proven experience in UI/FE development, with proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles and responsive web design.

  • Familiarity with popular front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).

  • Experience with SEO strategies, tools, and best practices.

  • Knowledge of on-page and off-page SEO techniques.

  • Proficient in using SEO analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Moz, SEMrush).

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
