marketfeed is a Y Combinator-funded seed-stage startup founded by Sharique Samsudheen & Sooraj E in 2020. With more than 1.5 million followers on social media and 200,000 app users, we have been achieving over 20% MoM growth for the past year. Our users have invested ₹200 crores using marketfeed.

🕵️ Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Senior Analyst who will be the main point of contact for all things numbers at marketfeed. You will play a pivotal role in making data-informed decisions, tracking performance, and identifying blind spots for the org. Your insights will guide our strategy and help us maintain a deep understanding of our business dynamics.

🎯 You’re a great fit if you:

  • Have 3+ years of experience working in consumer or wealth startups
  • Are proficient in defining events, KPIs, dashboarding, RCA analysis, opportunity sizing, regression, modeling, and time series analysis.
  • Have storytelling ability to combine data with business context and user feedback to create a comprehensive narrative.
  • Work with various teams to collect analytics request, size & prioritise them for execution. You should be able to manage the task lifecycle independently.
  • Have the ability to mentor and support junior analysts in their professional growth

💯Bonus points for you, if you:

  • Have experience in wealth markets with knowledge of trading, specifically in options or are eager to learn about it
  • Have previous experience in an early-stage startup and the ability to self-manage
  • Have the experience of working with founders

💬 Interviewing with us - Hiring Process

Our hiring process is designed to be thorough yet welcoming, ensuring we find the best fit for both the candidate and our team. While specific steps may vary depending on the role, the core stages remain consistent across most positions. Here’s how we assess candidates in our hiring process:

  • Screening Round for Fit: Initially, you'll have one or two brief conversations over the phone or via video. These are typically with a recruiter and then with either the hiring manager or a peer on the team. These chats are designed to assess critical skills and determine if there is a mutual fit.
  • Take Home Assignment: You'll be given a take-home assignment to evaluate your skills and knowledge relevant to the role. This helps us understand your practical abilities and approach to problem-solving.
  • Problem Solving Round: Following the assignment, there will be a focused problem-solving round. This is aimed at gauging your analytical and critical thinking skills in real-time scenarios.
  • Hiring Manager Round: In this round, you'll have an in-depth interview with the hiring manager. This is an opportunity to delve deeper into your experience, your approach to work, and how you handle various job-related challenges.
  • In-Person Interview with Founders: Finally, you’ll have an in-person interview with one or both of our founders. This step allows you to get to know the leadership team and for them to assess your fit within the company culture.

Throughout the process, we strive to maintain a friendly and warm atmosphere. Our goal is not only to evaluate your qualifications but also to give you a chance to get to know us better. While our process can be rigorous, typically involving 3-4 interviews either over video or in person, we believe this thorough approach helps ensure a successful long-term match for both parties.
