The Finance Associate at Material Depot will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of the company. This position will be responsible for various financial tasks, including financial analysis, managing accounts, preparing financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The Finance Associate will work closely with the finance team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and contribute to the overall financial success of the organization. Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes and provide recommendations for improving financial performance.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, including revenue projections, expense budgets, and cash flow analysis.
• Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and ensure accuracy of data.
• Support the finance team in financial planning and analysis activities, such as variance analysis and cost management.
• Assist in the coordination of the annual audit and other financial reviews.
• Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities in financial documents.
• Maintain accounting controls and procedures
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and submit tax forms, such as sales tax and payroll tax returns
• Follow up with vendors for invoice booking
• Maintain a working knowledge of Tally software

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and financial concepts.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
