Material Depot is a leading provider of construction materials and interior design products, offering a diverse range of brands through a common platform. We are seeking a highly motivated Customer Success Associate to join our team. The Customer Success Associate will play a critical role in identifying potential customers, understanding their needs, and qualifying them based on their requirements and revenue potential. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a keen eye for identifying business opportunities. Responsibilities
  • Identify and prospect potential customers, including contractors, architects, interior designers, and other industry professionals.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand customers' needs, project requirements, and budgetary considerations.
  • Engage with potential customers through various channels, including cold calling and following up on calls.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, responding to inquiries, providing product information, and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Conduct effective discovery calls and meetings with potential customers to gather information and assess their suitability for our products and services.
  • Analyse customer requirements and determine the feasibility of fulfilling their needs through our available brands and products.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as brand managers and product specialists, to gather relevant information and provide accurate and timely responses to customer queries.
  • Prepare and deliver customized sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value proposition of our brands and products.
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive sales quotations, proposals, and other documentation required during the pre-sales process.
  • Track and maintain customer data and activities in the CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of interactions and progress.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to hand off qualified leads for further sales engagement.
Requirements
  • A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Proven experience in pre-sales, business development, or customer-facing role, preferably in the construction materials or interior design industry.
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry and familiarity with various materials, brands, and product categories.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage customers and convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for identifying customer needs and potential business opportunities.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish relationships with customers, demonstrating a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, sales tools, and MS Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
