The Misfits Market procurement team is responsible for the sourcing and purchasing of all of the food that ends up in our Misfits boxes every week. We are looking to hire a passionate food professional to join the procurement team at Misfits Market as an assistant buyer. Working alongside the buying team, the assistant buyer will work on the day-to-day purchasing as well as play an important role in expanding our ever-growing group of vendors, producers and growers that make up our unique supply chain.

You Will:

• Create new SKUs and periodically audit items for upload into our system
• Work with our Merchandising and Marketing teams to collect assets for our website and stories about our growers & “Misfit” products
• Onboard new vendors from start to finish, liaising with our Legal and Compliance teams as necessary
• Create and process purchase orders
• Communicate pickup and delivery information to our Logistics team
• Coordinate with our Planning team to ensure inventory accuracy ahead of receipt
• Some weekend coverage required

• 1-2 years of procurement, supply chain and planning experience
• Working knowledge of the food/produce industry
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Dynamics is a plus
• Proficiency with G-Suite, Excel, Word & Slack
