Role Overview
We’re looking for a Founding Data Scientist to build models that draw insights from eye-tracking, sleep, activity, focus, and behavioral data sources. They’ll own the infrastructure side of the product, setting up and maintaining the backend for our mobile app. The right person for this role is meticulous and ready to build robust scalable systems.
Qualifications
BSc or equivalent knowledge in computer science, engineering, and/or related field
Highly proficient in Python for ML and backend development
Comfortable working with Scikit-learn, Pytorch, and common data science tools (numpy, scipy, matplotlib)
Experience in RESTful API development (we’re using FastAPI and MongoDB)
Experience in building and maintaining AWS pipelines (Lambda, SageMaker) for hosting scalable ML models
Comfortable setting up data lake functionality for analytics
Responsibilities
Build and maintain our proprietary ML models for ingesting health data and producing unrivaled mental insights
Maintain our RESTful API for data communication between database and mobile frontend
Design and implement AWS pipelines for proper hosting and scaling of machine learning models
Maintain data lake infrastructure and resolve security issues
Work with the iOS and designer roles to enable data capture from mobile packages + build beautiful data visualizations
