Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team. Reporting directly to the COO and Operations Director, this role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities- Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401(k), and bank accounts monthly.
- Monitor financial transactions and reports to ensure accuracy.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Create and distribute invoices using Bill.com and Deel.
- Assist the fractional CFO with financial reporting and analysis.
- Maintain organized financial records for auditing and compliance.
- Prepare financial statements and reporting packages as needed.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- 2–3 years of bookkeeping experience with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage financial records accurately.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Microsoft Office with expertise in Excel, Bill.com, and Deel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- This is a full-time contract remote position.
- Flexible working hours may be required based on business needs.
- Hourly rate: $25–$40, depending on experience
