We’re a small, close-knit group of roughly 10 people, each of us experts in our fields, working to bring autonomous vehicles to various industries quickly. Responsibilities
- Be a leader on the team, with significant industry experience, to mentor others in best practices.
- Develop versatile safety-rateable software for a range of industrial autonomous vehicles, including tractors, mining vehicles, forestry equipment, and port machinery.
- Contribute to our work in UL4600 Safety, filling in the gaps and enhancing our architectural framework.
- Engage in various areas of robotics including perception, controls, behavior, path planning, obstacle detection, tracking, and avoidance.
- Mentor team members in best software practices, focusing on a good balance between speed, quality, and scalability.
- Collaborate with DevOps to optimize our infrastructure to meet immediate needs and plan for long-term utilization, especially in generating auditable and safety traceable code.
- Maintain high ownership of your work, witnessing firsthand the impact of your code on customer vehicles performing real tasks.
- Expertise in one or more of the following: C/C++, ROS, Safety for mobile robots (UL4600 or ISO26262 or equivalent) development, and systems architecture.
- Previous experience working on robots or other autonomous systems and building in safety.
- A passion for high ownership of work and a collaborative spirit, with the ability to contribute anywhere on the stack as needed.
