We are the world leaders in algorithm/hardware co-design for artificial intelligence. Our roadmap begins with products 100x better than GPUs and will ultimately deliver products that are many orders of magnitude more cost effective than what is available today. We will ultimately be able to put models the size of ChatGPT into chips the size of a thumbnail.

This is a remote role, so you can work from anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading physical design for an edge AI/ML accelerator SoC
• Collaborate closely with our SoC & RTL design engineers and drive our floorplanning, closing timing, validating constraints, and optimizing power consumption by power grid optimization
• Define physical design flows and generate strategies for clocks, resets and any necessary synchronization.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on defining electrical specification, chip IO and package design
• Perform physical verification steps including DRC, LVS, ERC, DFM at the block, subsystem, and full chip level
• Perform physical design and verification of on key 1P and 3P IP blocks
• Work with the design team to drive sign-off closure for tapeout

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 5 + years of relevant industry experience in physical verification and signoff
• Proven industry experience and successful track record in physical design & verification for blocks and subsystems in advanced FF nodes
• Extensive experience with industry standard tools including Synopsys DC, ICCII, ICV
• Familiarity with industry standard custom, semi-custom and fully automated design flows
• Experience establishing physical design and verficiation methodologies
• Familiairty with TCL/Perl and/or Python for scripting
• Exhibit a high degree of motivation and independence
• Willingness & excitement to collaborate closely with broader silicon team
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred qualifications

• MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 10 + years experience with a focus on low power AI accelerators and SoCs

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $160,000 - $260,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.
