About The RoleWe are seeking an ambitious and motivated Senior Brand Writer to join our growing Brand team. This person will be responsible for writing copy that spans all customer-facing assets from advertising to the website. This role will work cross-functionally to translate our brand messaging framework into a clear, concise, and differentiated voice. The ideal candidate has experience developing voice and tone guidelines, and understands how to adapt tone to myriad channels and context.The ideal candidate has experience working in-house on brand and marketing teams and specifically writing for a tech company.
Please note that this Brand Writer role will require you to be comfortable with working in-person at our NYC HQ (located near Union Square) at least 2 days/week
What You'll Do
- Write clear, intelligent copy with a distinct voice
- Align our voice and tone across highest priority surfaces and channels
- Tailor content for a range of surfaces (e.g. website, advertising, product descriptions, brand messaging frameworks, voice and tone guidelines, and more)
- Centralize marketing copywriting at Ramp to create one consistent message for our customers
- Present work and rationale behind creative decisions to partners and leadership
- Minimum 5 years of writing experience in branding, marketing, and/or advertising working on in-house teams, or working closely with in-house teams for extended projects
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- A compelling portfolio that demonstrates a range of capabilities, experience, and storytelling ability
- Strong understanding of brand identity and the ability to adapt writing style accordingly
- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent grammar and editing skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- A passion for staying current with industry trends and emerging communication strategies
- The annual salary/OTE range for the target level for this role is $144,500-$170,000 + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
