About The Role
As one of Ramp's first Accounting hires, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of Ramp's growth trajectory by ensuring that quality financial operations are created to drive business operations. Reporting to the Controller, you will work closely with other members of the finance team and will participate in implementing accounting processes and controls to enhance financial reporting. The ideal candidate aspires to grow with Ramp and is willing to support all business areas whenever needed.

About The Role

Reporting to the Controller, you will work closely with other members of the finance team and will participate in implementing accounting processes and controls to enhance financial reporting. The ideal candidate aspires to grow with Ramp and is willing to support all business areas whenever needed.
What You’ll Do
- Manage all matters of product accounting functions, including, but not limited to, revenue recognition, processing costs, customer receivable reconciliation, and securitization.
- Automate reports through engagement with data, engineering, and product teams for all products to streamline the accounting process.
- Lead the monthly/annual close processes, including preparation and/or review of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and various financial analyses for all Ramp entities to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reporting.
- Prepare technical accounting memos for complex accounting issues
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Support accounts payable process, including approving of vendor bills and timely payments
- Collaborate with FP&A for monitoring of budget and preparation of budget to actuals
- Work closely with the Senior Controller to ensure policies and procedures comply with professional standards and audit and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, including working at other hyper-growth companies
- Proven expertise with Excel, SQL, Python, and experience automating reports
- Prior experience working with Netsuite or major Accounting ERP
- Experience developing technical accounting analyses
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions
