REGENT is building the seaglider; the first electric flying machine that will transport commercial passengers. With a vehicle that never flies higher than a few meters off the water, we unlock the ability to fly twice as far as an electric aircraft, and certification by maritime authorities which will let us fly first passengers by mid-decade.
We are backed by the world’s best investors: the same investors who are behind SpaceX, Anduril, and Boom Supersonic, in addition to strategic investors like Lockheed Martin, Japan Airlines, and Hawaiian Airlines. We have over $9B in orders from some of the industry’s largest operators and are hard at work getting our full-scale, human-carrying prototype on the water next year.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • In this unique position you will have the freedom to provide direct feedback and implement solutions to unique challenges in the development of an advanced all-electric maritime vehicle
  • Your experience will help ensure designs consider integration, assembly and maintainability and you will provide guidance on industry best practices
  • Applicants should also be eager to learn new skills from both industries. This role will focus primarily on avionics and electrical systems but will also support significant mechanical assembly work as well
  • Applicants should also have a keen eye for safety and safe practices in the operation of aircraft and marine systems

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years working as an electrical or avionics technician

  • Familiarity with the use of MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experienced with standard hand tools and measuring devices (multimeter, calipers, crimp tools, etc.)
  • Experience with test and safety practices for low-voltage and high-voltage systems and components

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Aerospace industry experience
  • A&P technician experience
  • Experience with energy storage systems such as Lithium-Polymer or Lithium-Ion batteries
  • Experience with high power, high voltage electrical systems
  • Prototyping and production manufacturing experience (harnessing, PCB rework, composites and metalworking)
  • Experience on the water, operating in and around marine craft
  • Experience in and around aircraft
  • Experience navigating CAD models in NX or a similar CAD system as well as schematics in Capital, Altium, or similar
