Remitee, a rapidly expanding fintech company specializing in international payments, is seeking a Cloud Engineer with Kubernetes and Azure Expertise.

As the Cloud Engineer, you will enhance and optimize the existing cloud infrastructure with a focus on Kubernetes (AKS) and Azure services. Collaborate with various roles, including infrastructure, database administration, cybersecurity, network security, software development, and software architecture teams, to ensure the scalability, resilience, and security of critical services in a multi-region, active-active environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Kubernetes Management and Optimization:

• Manage and optimize existing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters in production.
• Oversee and improve multi-region, active-active deployments to ensure high availability and low latency.
• Maintain network configurations, load balancing, and resource policies in Kubernetes.
  
  
  

Collaboration with Development and Software Architecture Teams:

• Work closely with the software development team to ensure infrastructure alignment with application requirements and performance goals.
• Collaborate with the software architecture team to design scalable and resilient cloud-based solutions.
• Provide input on infrastructure requirements for new applications and architectural changes.
  
  
  

Automation and DevOps:

• Maintain and optimize established CI/CD pipelines represented in Azure DevOps.
• Ensure smooth deployment and automation processes for Kubernetes and other resources.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to align deployment processes with business objectives.
• Implement Terraform modules.
  
  
  

Monitoring and Observability:

• Maintain monitoring tools such as Elastic Search, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Kibana.
• Implement proactive alert systems for critical events and improve system observability.
• Cost optimization.
  
  
  

Collaboration with Security and Network Roles:

• Automate processes
• Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity (S2S) in multi-cloud, ensuring secure and resilient traffic flow
• Technical expertise in network configuration (S2S), virtualization (vMotion), load balancing (F5), firewalls, storage, and SQL database integration
  
  
  

Technical Requirements:

Kubernetes Expertise:

• Extensive experience managing Kubernetes environments, preferably on AKS.
• Strong understanding of multi-region, active-active deployments.
  
  
  

Azure Specialization:

• Advanced knowledge of Azure SQL, including multi-region replication.
• Advanced knowledge in RBAC
• Advanced knowledge in Azure AppServices
  
  
  

Monitoring and Diagnostics:

• Hands-on experience with Kibana, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Familiarity with integrating advanced monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
  
  
  

Automation and DevOps:

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge in Terraform
  
  
  

Collaboration Skills:

• Proven ability to work effectively across teams, including development, software architecture, infrastructure, and security.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including network policies and disaster recovery.
