We're looking for a Senior Staff Engineer to lead some of Rippling’s most critical initiatives in the HR products area. This role will report into the Director of Engineering for HR products and is a great opportunity to be a key technical leader at Rippling with high visibility and growth opportunities. You will work directly with product and engineering across various teams to build and scale out multiple product lines, leading aspects of development ranging from product features to the infrastructure that will power all these products at scale.
Your role will involve an outstanding blend of business and technical savviness, the ability to look into and build a big-picture vision, and make that vision a reality. This is a high ownership, impact, and visibility role building a product that will directly impact Rippling’s growth.
What you will do
Lead the design and implementation of multiple Rippling HR product lines
Conceptualise, design, and build Rippling’s Global expansion framework that will significantly accelerate our Global expansion
Develop high quality software with attention to detail
Ship incrementally and continually at high velocity
Have exposure to business and technical leadership to strategize what can improve our revenue and our ability to scale rapidly
Interact with internal and external customers and support them in being successful with Rippling
Become the in-house expert on Rippling customers and competition
Qualifications
12+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in technical lead or architect roles
Experience building large-scale distributed systems, such as high-volume SaaS environments
Ideally experience in scaling products 0->1 and 1->100
Preferred experience in our technology stack- Python, Django, React, MongoDB, AWS
Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment by identifying areas of impact and independently pursuing them
A track record of influencing and enabling forward-thinking technology decisions across a wide organization
Excellent ability to communicate complex technical ideas with clarity and precision in written and verbal modes
