About the role

The Workflow Platform team is responsible for our Workflow Studio product and the underlying tech stack that empowers other teams at Rippling to build no-code workflow functionality into their own products. You will build products and platforms that enable our users to build set-it-and-forget-it workflows to automate business critical operations. We are looking for a seasoned engineer who has worked with complex frontend systems that will scale.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop high quality software with attention to detail

  • Ship incrementally and continually at high velocity

  • Jump into different and new codebases and diagnose issues and problems quickly

  • Build for systems that scale for a large variety of use cases

  • Tackle large scaling challenges that involve scaling our capabilities to support 100,000+ employee companies

  • Work highly cross functionally with engineering leaders across the engineering org

  • Become the in-house expert on Rippling customers and competition

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of professional experience as a software engineer

  • Experience in both backend and frontend engineering

  • You have seen systems operating at a significant technical and organizational scale

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • React experience preferred

  • Comfortable at developing scalable and extendable core services used in many products

  • Experience building large-scale distributed systems, such as high-volume SaaS environments
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment by identifying areas of impact and independently pursuing them
  • A track record of influencing and enabling forward-thinking technology decisions across a wide organization
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex technical ideas with clarity and precision in written and verbal modes
