This engineering manager role will be responsible for building the product and team that strengthens the benefits foundations. This team will be responsible for a suite of core products and services that enables the next generation benefits and insurance products to scale. This team will have a combination of both directly user-facing products as well as interfaces for other engineering teams. There are challenges for the team that range from building for usability to scaling for massive scale and a wide array of engineering requirements.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical leadership and vision in a widely scoped engineering team.

• Work collaboratively with other cross-functional teams and leaders.

• Work cross-functionally with product management leadership to drive said vision.

• Balancing a long-term vision with a high-impact and iterative roadmap.

• Drive company-wide engineering initiatives and process changes.

• Drive the development of the product and platform in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to lead and grow the team.

• Coach and mentor engineers at different levels to achieve their career goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering with 1+ years of engineering management experience

• Proven experience in hiring and managing engineers

• Experience building a large-scale platform for web and mobile apps

• Expertise in building complex distributed services

• Proven track record of taking initiative and leading projects

• Proficiency in recruiting, organizing, and motivating teams

• You care about product ownership and solving problems for our customers.
