About Rippling
Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.
Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.
Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.2B from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.
We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.

About the role

The HRIS team sits at the core of Rippling’s system. It enables companies to set up the most important parts of their organizational structure – including departments, entities, teams, levels, job families, business partners, and work locations. It’s responsible for the experiences that allow employers to perform key actions like onboarding & offboarding new team members as well as making changes to their employment information. Lastly, it powers the platform that propagates (or “Ripples”) all this employee data, and any changes to it, to our downstream 1st and 3rd party products. Simply put, without a well functioning HRIS platform, there’s no “Ripple”-ing.

As the Product Lead of this area, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of the overall HRIS area and drive the execution of its roadmap alongside your team of PMs as well as design and engineering counterparts. You’ll ensure that this core team has the right plan of action to allow Rippling to keep moving upmarket to meet the demands of larger, complex organizations and into previously uncharted industries, including those with a high proportion of deskless workers. You’ll also drive the expansion of Rippling’s global HRIS capabilities, making sure that we’re able to keep up a high rate of Employer of Record (EOR) country releases while maintaining a consistent HRIS experience across the different countries that we serve.

What you'll do

  • Own the overall strategy and execution for our HRIS product, platform, and global expansion teams

  • Build out capabilities in the HRIS that allow for the flexibility and controls required by larger organizations

  • Prioritize enhancements to the platform to make sure that Rippling can seamlessly feed (Ripple) data updates to a continuously growing number and ever diverse set of downstream systems

  • Drive the country expansion roadmap for Global HRIS and EOR, while ensuring that learnings which can be applied to multiple countries are brought into the core HRIS so users have a consistent experience

  • Make sure that this core Rippling system is able to meet the needs of different industries, including those with high proportions of deskless workers

  • Ensure that the speed and simplicity that Rippling prides itself on is consistently met, even when adding support for additional complex use cases

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, operations, legal, and compliance, to ensure successful product development and launch.

  • Communicate with key stakeholders, including customers, sales, marketing, and customer support, to gather feedback and ensure that the product meets their needs.
