About the role
We are looking for a Manager within our Financial Crimes Compliance team to lead our sanctions compliance program. Rippling currently facilitates payments through its own licenses and via partners in over 140 countries and 51 currencies. This team member will serve as an expert in sanctions compliance and should have experience with sanctions controls, including screening, system controls, circumvention typologies, and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical, critical thinking, and writing skills. They should be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-production environment while managing sensitive information and maintaining strong ethical standards.
What you will do
- Conduct the daily operations of the sanctions compliance program.
- Own the integration and ongoing configuration of Rippling’s sanctions screening system.
- Review daily alerts and escalations related to sanctions.
- Draft documentation pertaining to the sanctions compliance program and procedures.
- Perform in-depth investigative research using internal and external data.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to produce written reports assessing sanctions risks.
- Complete sanctions reporting when necessary.
- Stay abreast of industry standards and developments related to sanctions and AML.
- Create and maintain clear documentation of program and operational processes.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of seniority.
- Assist with compliance projects as needed.
What you will need
- Minimum of 5+ years of compliance experience, with a focus on sanctions compliance; experience at a global fintech or payment provider is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OFAC programs and non-U.S. sanction regimes.
- Experience with sanctions screening vendors, including integration, logic testing, tuning, etc.
- Experience with sanctions reporting across multiple jurisdictions throughout North America and Europe, including implementation of network and application level sanctions controls.
- BA/BS degree.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to execute tasks at high speed.
- Sense of humor.
- Professional certification(s), such as CGSS, CFCS, or CAMS.
