People and Talent Lead
About the role
Secoda is seeking a dynamic and experienced People and Talent Lead to join our growing team in Toronto. As the People and Talent Lead, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing our people strategy to support our company's growth and success. You will be responsible for all aspects of talent acquisition, employee development, and HR operations.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and create effective recruitment strategies.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job posting, sourcing, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline through various channels, including job boards, social media, and networking.
- Design and implement employee development programs and initiatives to enhance skills and career growth.
- Identify training needs and provide guidance on learning and development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Oversee all HR functions, including onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date and in compliance with local labor laws.
- Manage employee relations and address any HR-related issues or concerns.
- Implement and manage performance appraisal processes, including goal setting and performance reviews.
- Provide guidance and support to managers in addressing performance issues and promoting a high-performance culture.
- Develop and execute employee engagement strategies to enhance team morale and satisfaction.
- Conduct regular surveys and gather feedback to make data-driven improvements.

HR Metrics and Reporting:
- Generate HR reports and metrics to track key performance indicators and make data-driven decisions.

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- Proven experience as an HR professional, with a minimum of 5+ years in HR management roles.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in tech or startup environments is preferred.
