Back-End Engineer
This is an opportunity to join a well-funded, fast-growing startup as an early team member.
In this role, you'll help us build our incredible SaaS product that's used by some of the coolest startups in the world.
Here’s what we’ll want you to do...
Design, develop, and maintain Spokn's back-end services (microservices, functions, jobs)
Help shape our leading-edge stack and processes
Add value with every iteration to help us move quickly
Take initiative by suggesting new technologies, ideas, and approaches
Bring creative engineering solutions to a dynamic system
Help design usable and clean APIs for our Spokn services
Collaborate with colleagues in a fluid, cross-functional team environment
Guide other team members in handling more complex issues
We think this means you probably have these skills…
Experience in back-end engineering, preferably with NodeJS
Expertise in building REST APIs (e.g. Express, Swagger)
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. MYSQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch)
Comfortable working with Unix-like systems and DevOps (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, YAML)
Able to work in a structured, agile, and test-oriented manner
Bonus points...
Experience with Google Cloud Platform
Understanding distributed systems (e.g. Kafka, MQTT, OAuth 2.0)
Experience with Audio/Video components
