We’re doing that by creating seamless and delightful experiences through our products, which includes building a new points infrastructure – a feat that involves both cutting-edge technology and bold new partnerships.

How We're Doing
We launched in early 2023— and already, we’re processing nearly $1 billion in yearly payments with our thousands of cardholders.
To get here, we’ve wrangled partnerships with Visa, multiple banks, and international airlines. We’ve raised two rounds of funding, with investors that include CRV and Brian Kelly of The Points Guy himself.
We are now 9 teammates strong and looking for our next team members. The startup is about to get really hectic really fast, and we're looking for an additional teammate to join us on this adventure.
The Role
As Taekus’s first mobile engineer, you will be responsible for building out and structuring Taekus’s first mobile apps on Android and iOS.
We care deeply about streamlining the points redemption process. Many traditional rewards systems run on antiquated technology that people don't use and aren't optimized for the modern user, and this is one of the key ways we'll stand out against the bigger banks. Having a fantastic mobile experience is the next critical step in building out our vision.
We want to deliver a travel rewards credit card experience that is intuitive and actually helpful to the user so they never have to worry about whether they're getting the best points deal.
Your job would be to help us build some transparency into our platform and help usher away the era of confusing points and redemption rules!
Your role will require you to:
Collaborate with designers and engineers to scope out features and product directions
Participate in code and design reviews to ensure quality and good architecture
Write maintainable, clear, well-architected code, tests, and documentation
Qualifications
2+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably at a startup or big tech company
An understanding of the demanding nature of working in an early-stage startup environment and a demonstrated track record of shipping high-quality production code using React Native and Typescript
Experience building production-grade apps using React Native and deploying them to the App Store and/or Google Play Store
Ability and willingness to build an entirely new application client from scratch
Experience with React Native, React, Django, Python
Prior experience with Swift, Obj-C or Java preferred
