Taekus is a fintech startup building a next generation premium financial services brand. We’re doing that by creating seamless and delightful experiences through our products, which includes building a new points infrastructure – a feat that involves both cutting-edge technology and bold new partnerships.
Here we are now — tackling a multi-trillion-dollar opportunity to push the first real innovation in the true super-premium market since the inception of rewards credit cards.
How We're Doing
We launched in early 2023— and already, we’re processing nearly $1 billion in yearly payments with our thousands of cardholders.
To get here, we’ve wrangled partnerships with Visa, multiple banks, and international airlines. We’ve raised two rounds of funding, with investors that include CRV and Brian Kelly of The Points Guy himself.
We are now 9 teammates strong and looking for our next team members. The startup is about to get really hectic really fast, and we're looking for an additional teammate to join us on this adventure.
The Role
We are looking for a UX/UI designer with an eye for the sleek and beautiful. You will be designing our product flows and work with the founders to build their vision.
We have a design system in place but are now looking to professionalize and speed up our design process for iterating user flows. You will be working directly with the founders and engineers to design user flows and product pages.
We care deeply about the sleekness and usability of our web portal -- that’s one of the key ways we stand out against the bigger banks with travel rewards. After all, one of the reasons that traditional credit card rewards are so hard to maximize and use properly is a convoluted user interface.
We want to deliver a travel rewards experience that is intuitive and actually helpful to the user so they never have to worry about whether they're getting the best points deal.
Your role will require you to:
Build high polished consumer experiences within our payments platform.
Lead visual design projects and strategies across the team.
Create user stories, build user flows, wireframes, and design final products in Figma.
Work with engineering team on implementations and testing for platform efficacy.
Qualifications
3+ years of product design related roles
Expertise in designing well crafted experiences for consumer based applications
Quick pace of iteration and feedback response times
Thinks in systems and is able to extrapolate and extend shared patterns and behaviors
Great portfolio of individual contributions made by you
Elevated eye for graphic design
Nice to Haves
A love of travel (hacking) and credit card rewards
Location
Taekus is a remote company. Half the team works out of the Bay Area and meets up a couple times a month to cowork, while the other half of the team works once a week out of an office in Chicago.
